An explosion killed 10 people and injured 25 more, mostly children, in Myitkyina, capital of Kachin state in northern Myanmar, local officials said.The explosion Sunday was set off by an attacker targeting a row of houses used as shelters for orphaned children, the Democratic Voice of Burma reported. Besides the children, the report quoted officials that those killed included two women and the attacker.The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. The report by the Norwegian-based broadcaster said some of them had received serious injuries.The area has been the scene of fighting between troops and Kachin separatists.
