
Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa today met separately, on the sidelines of the 9th Manama Dialogue, Prince Philip of Liechtenstein, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, B?rge Brende, members of the UK parliament, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs personal representative to the Middle East Peace Process and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director of Middle East and North Africa Department, Sergey Vershinin, Director General for the Middle East and North Africa Affairs at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Boris Ruge, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Arabian Peninsula at the US Department of State, Barbara Leaf, Al Monitor Chief Executive Officer and Editor, Dr. Andrew Parasiliti as well as Jason Isaacson from the American Jewish Committee. During the meetings, the Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the hosting of this forum was an opportunity to exchange opinions and views on regional and international issues as well as to consolidate security and stability, especially in light of the developments witnessed in the region that require more consultation and coordination to find the appropriate formulas to solve problems through peaceful means, dialogue and understanding. He pointed out the importance of topics at the forum, particularly those related to security, politics, the economy and international cooperation. The meetings also covered a number of issues of mutual interest at the regional and international arenas.
