Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Thursday received Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) Ertharin Cousin, currently on a visit to the Kingdom within a regional tour. Judeh was briefed by the UN official on her Middle East tour to check on conditions of Syrian refugees. She said the WFP is intent to support local communities in poverty stricken areas. Judeh stressed the need to coordinate efforts to provide better services to refugees, stressing Jordan’s appreciation of WFP’s efforts. Judeh also received Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States of UN Development Program (UNDP) Sima Bahous and discussed efforts to aid Syrian refugees in Jordan.
