FM of Iran and Oman review bilateral expanding ties on ACD sidelines

Ministers of foreign affairs of Iran and Oman in a meeting here Monday on sidelines of Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) reviewed two countries’ expanding ties and consulted on regional and international developments. According to IRNA Monday Night News Team, Ali-Akbar Salehi and Yusuf bin-Alawi in their meeting also stressed the need for greater comprehensive bilateral cooperation, as well as multilateral regional harmony and cooperation. The ACD was inaugurated in June 2002 in Cha-Am, Thailand, where 18 Asian foreign ministers met together for the first time. The ACD is today comprised of 30 Asian countries. The 9th ACD Ministerial Meeting was held in Tehran for two days on November 8th and 9th, 2010. The current ACD summit brings together foreign ministers and senior officials from Asia\'s top economies China, Japan, India and South Korea with their counterparts in the world\'s leading oil producers, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, in addition to Russia.
