Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Mohammad Ali Al Thaher on Thursday received a student delegation from US universities within a training program at the Institute of Diplomacy. The delegation was briefed on the ministry’s work and activities as well as issues it focuses on. The meeting tackled the current situation in the region, Arab,regional and international issues as well a s efforts to His Majesty King Abdullah II to bring about just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. Talks also covered the Syrian crisis and its impact on Jordan which is hosting thousands of Syrian refugees on its territory. The visit comes within a memorandum of understanding signed by the Institute of Diplomacy and the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) in the United States.
