The court sentenced former officer of the police station Tankodrom in the city of Kazan Rishad Mukhamadshin, 30, to eight years in prison. He was charged with abuse of powers committed with the use of violence, the press service of the Tatar investigation department of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass on Thursday. The court and the detectives exposed several crimes of the police officer. So, in January 2010 a 30-year-old local resident was brought to the ninth police station Dalny in the city of Kazan on robbery suspicions. The then operative of the police station Dalny Mukhamadshin demanded that the detainee should plead guilty of the crime. Getting the refusal the policeman beat him up, after that grabbed him by the hair and hit him several times at the wall. Along with this crime, on August 1, 2010, a 16-year-old teenager was brought to the police station Dalny on suspicions of damaging the car, and Mukhamadshin also beat him up for the refusal to give confessing testimony. In October 2011, Mukhamadshin was appointed as a senior operative of the criminal search department of the police station number 15 Tankodrom in the city of Kazan. On December 24, 2011, a 25-year-old man was taken to the police station on suspicions of insults and using the violence against the policeman. Mukhamadshin beat him up with a rubber stick. Not enduring the tortures following the detention, the detainee jumped out from the window of the second floor, after that he was taken to the hospital with spinal compression fracture.
