France on Thursday strongly condemned a series of sectarian bombings in several areas of Pakistan Wednesday, which killed over two dozen people and wounded many more. \"France condemns in the strongest way the wave of bombings that have just hit several cities in Pakistan,\" a Foreign Ministry statement said. One bomb in Rawalpindi left 23 dead and 60 wounded, news reports said. Two other bombs in Karachi also claimed victims in what appears to be coordinated attacks by Pakistani Taliban groups against mainly Shiite targets. \"We offer our condolences to the relatives of the victims and express our full solidarity with the Pakistani population in its rejection of terrorism and religious fundamentalism,\" the French statement said.
