French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on Thursday firmly condemned Syrian mortar bomb that killed five Turks at the border town of Akcakale. \"This violation of international law poses a serious threat to peace and international security,\" Fabius warned. \"The international community can not accept that the Syrian regime continues its violence both inside and outside its borders. It must be stopped immediately,\" he added. French minister urged world powers to \"pass clearly and quickly a message of conviction and firmness to the Syrian authorities,\" via the Security Council to stop massacres in the country and threatening peace and security in the Middle East. Early on Thursday, Turkish artillery fired on Syrian targets after a deadly mortar strike from Syria killed five and injured a dozen others in Akcakale on Wednesday.
