French, Iranian FMs hold talks on Syria, Tehran nuclear program

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius held talks Tuesday with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif over the Iranian nuclear program and the conflict in Syria. In a press statement, the French Foreign Ministry said the two ministers discussed Tehran nuclear talks with the Group of P5+1, or the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - US, Russia, China, Britain and France - plus Germany, scheduled next week in Geneva. They tackled the international efforts for holding the second Geneva conference on Syria as well as a number of other regional and international issues of common concern, added the statement.
