Friends of Syria foreign ministers to meet Saturday in Qatar

Foreign ministers from the Friends of Syria group of countries will meet at the weekend in Qatar to discuss support for the rebellion against President Bashar al-Assad, the State Department said Wednesday. The meeting of 11 foreign ministers - from the United States, European countries and regional allies - will coincide with an official visit to Qatar by French President Francois Hollande. The foreign ministers will discuss support for the Syrian opposition and efforts to find a political solution to the conflict, spokeswoman State Department Jen Psaki said in a statement.
