Gauck arrives in Ramallah

German President Joachim Gauck arrived Thursday morning in the Palestinian territory, Ramallah, concluding a three-day visit to the region. Gauck is set to hold meetings with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad in a bid to revive the peace process between Palestine and Israel. The German President visited Tel Aviv, earlier on Monday, where he emphasized the strong German-Israeli relations, criticizing meantime Israel\'s policy that hinders a two-state solution.
