GCC appeals to international community to address violence in Syria

GCC Secretary General Abdullatif al-Zayani renewed in a press statement here on Thursday his appeal to the international community to do its part in stopping the violence and loss of life in Syria.He condemned the brutal behavior of the Syrian regime in its rampant killing of innocent people and destruction of cities and towns without any adherence to the basic requirements of human rights or international law.He slammed the regime for using airplanes and helicopters to drop explosives on Syrian towns, killing many innocent people.Moreover, he asked the international community to do its utmost to protect civilians in Syria and allow humanitarian aid to reach them safely.
