
The meeting of GCC defense ministers aims at boosting coordination among GCC armed forces and to help preserve security and stability of the region, Kuwait's Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah said upon arriving in Manama Tuesday. Sheikh Khaled, who is due to participate in GCC 12th defense ministers meeting tomorrow, told KUNA that the meeting will review progress of joint military action and what has been done so far, including achieving greater level of coordination. The minister added the ministers would discuss findings related to the armed forces in the joint military field, in addition to review accomplishments achieved during the previous sessions. Sheikh Khaled said the six GCC countries were keen on achieving an integrated vision of the armed forces with the objective of boosting security and stability in the region.
