The GCC expressed Monday its concern regarding a bill agreed by the US senate that allows victims of the September 11 attacks to sue Saudi Arabia in US courts.
The GCC said that the bill violates the international law's principle of sovereign equality between states. GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdul Latif Al Zayani said today that passing such a flawed bill will have a negative impact on relations between gulf states and the United States. He added that the piece of legislation could cause some damage to the global economy.
