
Dr. Mohammed Matar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and Ahmed Shabeeb Al Dhaheri, Director-General of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, discussed ways of enhancing cooperation in carrying out humanitarian work and extending support for UAE pilgrims.
During the meeting, Al Kaabi praised the foundation for its role in promoting the well-being of people in the UAE and overseas.
He noted that the late Sheikh Zayed, the namesake and founder of the humanitarian foundation, pledged a considerable endowment to support its charitable activities.
Al Dhaheri stressed that H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the foundation, take great interest in cooperating with government departments.
He noted that the foundation will pay the expenses for pilgrimage to Mecca this season for 1,000 people 600 from the UAE and 400 from other countries.
