
The Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) on Tuesday published the final result of the 2013 presidential election held on Oct. 27. According to the final poll result, Giorgi Margvelashvili got 62.12 percent of the valid votes, followed by Davit Bakradze with 21.72 percent and Nino Burjanadze with 10.19 percent. Giorgi Margvelashvili represents the ruling coalition of Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia while Davit Bakradze represents parliamentary opposition and Nino Burjanadze non-parliamentary opposition. CEC spokesperson Ekaterina Azarashvili told a press briefing on Tuesday that 1,660,976 of the 3,537,719 registered voters both in the country and abroad had turned out to cast their ballots. The Georgian government procedural committee is preparing for the presidential inauguration ceremony slated for Nov. 17 in Tbilisi.
