President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Thursday said that the people had chosen to build its civil state, pointing to the youth revolution erupted early in 2011. The President\'s statement was made in a speech delivered on his behalf by his adviser for media affaires Mahboub Ali in the opening of a symposium on the role of media in preparing for dialogue and in backing democratic transition held in Sana\'a. The Yemeni people has made an irreversible decision to build its modern civil state based on the principle of justice, equality, partnership and equal citizenship and to draft a new political system with the participation of all its citizens, without discrimination or exclusion, Hadi said. He described the media people as the conscience of the nation, saying that their support for the national dialogue conference and its outcomes is not a support for a specified party or person but for the whole nation. \"Media and dialogue and two sides of the same coin, through them and nothing else, the great concepts and values of freedom of opinion are enhanced and the democracy tree yields good fruits,\" the President said.
