Following the UN Mission\'s decision to suspend its activities in Syria, UK Foreign Secretary William Hague called on the International Community to take an urgent action on Syria. Hague expressed regret for the decision saying \"I regret that it has been necessary for the UN Mission to decide to suspend patrols and to restrict staff movements due to escalating violence in Syria, adding \"this underlines the extent of the deterioration of security and stability in Syria, and calls into serious question the viability of the UN Mission.\" He also condemned in strongest term the failure of the Assad regime to end violence in Syria in which the UN-Arab League Joint Special Envoy for Syria Kofi Annan said that the Syrian regime bears the primary responsibility for ending the violence. British Prime Minister David Cameron will have urgent discussions about the situation in Syria with other leaders at the G20 meeting in Mexico.
