The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which rules the Gaza Strip, cautioned here Sunday against an Israeli plan to Judaise 298 historical Islamic sites in occupied Palestinian territories. The movement condemned in a statement this Israeli scheme as a blatant desecration of Islamic sanctities and a disgraceful breach of historical features. It called on all Palestinian people to resolutely stand against this Israeli scheme by all possible means. It urged the international community to take action against Israel in order to stop its continuing violation of Palestinian Islamic sanctuaries and historical locations. Al-Quds International Centre uncovered an Israeli plan to desecrate Palestinian historical facilities by announcing an alleged project to renovate 296 Palestinian historical sites. Meanwhile, Hamas openly denounced recent Israeli military orders allowing Israeli army and security forces to arrest Palestinian prisoners who had been set free in a prisoner swap deal. It blasted in a release the Israeli move as a violation of the 2010 prisoner swap deal. Israeli Haaretz reported earlier in the day that a new military order was issued for the Israeli army and security organs to catch previously freed Palestinian prisoners.
