Egyptian President's Adviser on Engineering Affairs Hani Azer urged Egyptian youths to be more patient.
In exclusive statements to MENA on Sunday, he added that Egypt has witnessed its brighter economic eras in the past two years.
This came during celebrations held in Berlin commemorating the inauguration of Berlin's main train station 10 years ago.
Azer said the Egyptian flag was raised and waved during the celebration.
Living in Germany, Hani Azer, who was born in Tanta in 1948, was in charge of the construction of the tunnel beneath Berlin's Tiergarten in 1994. He became the Chief Engineer of Europe's largest train station in Berlin, Germany, also known as the Berlin Hauptbahnhof.
Azer is a world tunnel expert and top counselor of the German Tunnel Authority.
Meanwhile, Azer said the Suez Canal tunnels project is considered the largest in the world.
He asserted the importance of marketing the project around the world via international engineering conferences.
He also called on the Egyptians, especially youths, to exert more effort, adding that Egypt is on the right track especially by establishing such national and medium projects as well as the projects of social housing, infrastructure, 1,000 factories, silos, ports and the 1.5-million-feddan.
