Head of Syrian National Council arrives in Moscow

Head of the Syrian National Council Abdul Basset Sieda arrived in Moscow for talks on a settlement in Syria. According to him, the Syrian opposition is prepared to look for ways to settle the current crisis together with Russia. He said that the delegation will present some suggestions to resolve the Syrian crisis to the Russian officials. The Russian Foreign Ministry announced earlier that that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will discuss with Sieda ways to implement Kofi Annan's plan and the final communique of Geneva meeting on Syria. This is the second visit of the Syrian National Council to Russia. The Council delegation visited Moscow for the first time last October under the chairmanship of Burhan Ghalioun.
