Human rights body reviews resolutions in UAE

The Permanent Committee to follow up the UAE Comprehensive Human Rights Report held its sixth meeting on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired under Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, state minister of foreign affairs. The committee reviewed the responses from government and local authorities tasked with implementation of voluntary pledges and resolutions of the United Nations Human Rights Commission in order to include them in the UAE report in 2012. The committee was set up with the cabinet decision to oversee the implementation of the UAE’s commitment before the rights commission. ( from The Gulf Today )
