IAEA top delegation to visit Iran soon

A top-level delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is due to visit Iran in the near future, a foreign ministry official announced on Tuesday. \"An IAEA delegation to be headed by the deputy director-general (of the Agency) is scheduled to visit Iran soon,\" Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast told reporters in Tehran today. \"The visit will take place within the framework of the continued cooperation between Iran and the IAEA,\" he added. Mehman-Parast also underlined that the visit would take place upon Tehran\'s demand on the IAEA to send a delegation to the country, which he said shows Iran\'s good will and transparency of its peaceful nuclear activities. Iran\'s nuclear activities are fully supervised by the IAEA inspectors and cameras and Tehran is observing the rules and contents of the NPT Comprehensive Safeguard Agreement in full. Despite intense propaganda by the US and some EU countries, the regular visits of the IAEA inspectors to the Iranian nuclear sites and installations further illustrate Iran\'s transparent cooperation with the IAEA. So far all inspection reports, including those presented by the IAEA director-general to the UNSC and IAEA Board of Governors, are in confirmation of Iran\'s continued adherence to the IAEA and NPT rules and regulations.
