India: Pakistani terrorists behind militant attack in Kashmir

India Wednesday said the two militants who stormed a paramilitary camp near a cricket ground in Indian-controlled Kashmir this morning, killing at least five security forces personnel and injuring eight others, \"seem to be from across the border, probably Pakistan.\" \"Some boys were playing cricket and the Central Reserve Police Force personnel were on standby. These militants took AK-47 out and started firing. Both the terrorists have been killed. We have lost five men, five injured but out of danger. Three civilians have been injured and the terrorists don\'t seem to be locals, but from across the border, probably Pakistan,\" Indian Home Secretary R.K. Singh said. \"We had inputs that four militants have entered, have alerted our troops to lookout for two more militants who escaped,\" he told the media in the national capital. The fidayeen (suicidal) attack took place at Bemina in the northern Indian state\'s capital Srinagar at 11 a.m. and lasted for over an hour with the gunning down of the two militants by the troopers, according to local police. The Chief Minister of the Indian-controlled Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, has condemned the attack. This has been the first \"fidayeen\" (suicidal) attack in the last three years in Kashmir which is claimed by both India and Pakistan. The attack is perceived to be a retaliation against India\'s execution of 2001 Parliament attacks\' main conspirator Afzal Guru last month. Guru was a native of Kashmir.
