Indian forces open fire on Pakistani forces

Indian forces opened fire on a Pakistan Rangers\' check post, on the eastern border of Sialkot sector, and along the Line of Control near Kotli on Sunday. Pakistan has accused the Indian forces of opening fire but no causality has been reported yet. According to the state television PTV, Pakistan Rangers resorted to retaliatory firing and called for an investigation to be launched. A senior military official said that Indian Border Security Forces opened fire on Pakistani Rangers posts near Pukhlian, Head Marala area, in Sialkot sector, adding that the exchange of fire continued for few hours. In the same context, Pakistani military officials reported on August 8 that Indian troops opened unprovoked fire and seriously wounded a male civilian along the Line of Control, on the Pakistani side of Kashmir. The situation among the two countries was tensed as India accused Pakistan\'s Army of being involved in the killings of its five soldiers on the Indian side of Kashmir, yet, Pakistan Foreign Office and military leadership denied the allegation. Pakistan has also condemned the aggression by the Indian protestors targeting its High Commission in New Delhi. Moreover, Indian protesters also stopped Dosti bus (friendship bus) traveling from New Delhi to Lahore city on Friday chanting slogans against Pakistan.
