First Vice President of Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Issa Murad on Saturday discussed with the Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan Teguh Wardoyoon, means of forging closer trade and economic ties between Jordan and Indonesia. Murad said the Jordanian private sector is keen to boost political and economic relations with Indonesia, stressing the need to activate the cooperation agreements signed in 2009 to advance trade, industrial and investment ties between the two countries. Jordan’s exports to Indonesia stood at $123 million in 2011 while imports amounted to $213 million. Murad urged businessmen from both countries to enhance cooperation and forge partnerships to increase trade exchange between the two countries. The ambassador reviewed his country’s relations with Jordan and means of further boosting them in trade, investment, tourism, higher education and health fields.
