International Association for Official Statistics launched in Abu Dhabi

The 15th Conference of the International Association for Official Statistics, 2016 IAOS, was launched today under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The three-day event is organised by the Statistics Centre of Abu Dhabi, SCAD, from 6th to 8th December, in Abu Dhabi.
An association under the International Statistical Institute, the IAOS brings together producers and users of official statistics. Its objectives are to promote the understanding and advancement of official statistics and to foster the development of effective and efficient official statistical services on a global basis .
