The head of Jordan Red Crescent Mohamed Matalq Al Hadid asserted that the volume of international assistance, which was offered to Jordan to help Syrian refugees in the kingdom, does not reach their required needs.
Jordan spends more than one quarter of its budget on Syrian refugees, said Hadid during the opening ceremony of the second forum on humanitarian work for victims of wars and disputes on Tuesday.
As many as 650,000 Syrian refugees have been registered in Jordan, he added.
The two-day forum is organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in cooperation with Jordan Red Crescent.
