Fabricated US allegations of a supposed Iranian plot exposes how dangerous White House\'s foreign policy has become, says Christian peace activist William Spring. “The US coming up with this bizarre conspiracy theory only serves to illustrate how truly frightening US policy is, when driven by Fox News and seeking to manipulate a generally ignorant US public opinion,” Spring said. “It is quite self evident that this is a ‘Neo Con’ plot to try and create tension with Iran where none should exist,” he said in an interview with IRNA. Spring is director of the online UK-based ecumenical Christians Against Nato Aggression (CANAUK). “Any outlandish allegation v Iran can now be made in the US media and/or through exploiting a federal investigatory process,” he said. The CANAUK director said the alleged Iranian plot was “just another routine outbreak of US irrationality, but with always a malevolent side,” he said. In this instance, he suggested that it was the “corrupt” Saudi rulers who have obviously set this up with the supposed target being its Washington ambassador. The Saudis must be “getting pretty desperate in their pressures on Washington to nuke Iran for them when they know the US public haven\'t the slightest interest in another war,” Spring suggested.
