The US delegaion harshly criticized selection of Iran as the deputy of UN conference, accusing the Islamic Republic perusing illegal nuclear activities, deployment of arms to Lebanon\'s Hizbollah as well as Syria and disturbing international peace and security. Slamming the baseless US claims, the Iranian representative rose the question whether the US or Iran were the country which pursued wars. \"In the past 350 years, Iran has invaded no countries and is considered as a peace lover, while the US history is full of invasions to other countries across the globe, the last one of which happened in the Mideast recently.\" \"Who is a war monger, Iran which safeguarded its sovereignty in the eight –year Iraqi imposed war or the US that supplied chemical weapons to the deposed Iraqi president Saddam Hussein for massacring innocent Iranian and Iraqi people ,\" the Iranian delegation added. \"Iran has never sent and is not going to send weapons to other countries to be used in massacring people, while the US is exporting weaponry across the globe, including supplying the phosphorus artilleries for Zionist regime that were used to massacre innocent civilians, children and women in particular, in Gaza \", the Iranian representative delegation added. The Iranian representative delegation invited the UN members to judge on the issue themselves. The United Nation Conference on the Armed Trade Treaty is underway in New York 2-27.
