
Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian has expressed hope that violence in Syria would end on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. During a meeting with the Syrian National Dialogue Follow-Up Committee, Amir-Abdollahian also expressed hope that representatives of the Syrian people and opposition would attend the comprehensive national dialogue which the committee plans to hold in the near future in order to reach a peaceful solution and end the crisis. He also expressed satisfaction with the functioning of National Dialogue Follow-Up Committee and the development of its performance, hoping that the national dialogue will be launched soon. The Committee called on Tehran to contribute to accelerate the launch of the national dialogue in the country.
