Iran embassy in Ankara in a statement expressed its condolences and sorrow over death of Turkish military officers in Afghanistan. The statement requested God blessing for the military officers who lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. Turkey’s armed forces commanding headquarters declared on Friday that in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan, 12 military officers have been killed. After September 11 attacks and occupation of Afghanistan, Turkey dispatched his soldiers to Afghanistan under the condition that they should not participate in military operations. Turkey is a member of ISAF and has taken commanding position of NATO forces there twice. Turkey has around 1,800 soldiers in Afghanistan now.
