Political solution is the only way out of the ongoing crisis in Syria, said an Iranian deputy foreign minister, and added that Iran is optimistic about the outcome of the upcoming Geneva2 peace conference on Syria, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported. Iran insists on political solution as the only way out of the status quo in Syria, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs said in a meeting in Tehran with Powell Robillard, the first assistant secretary for South and West Asia and Middle East Division at Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
