Iran’s Minister of Telecommunications Reza Taqipour said Iran was ready to help reconstruct the Islamic Iraq. Making the remark in a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi here on Saturday, he said Tehran was ready to transfer its knowledge and experiences in telecommunications and electronic-government to the Iraqi nation. He further noted that all scientific and technological progresses made in Iran so far were by the Iranian experts. Pointing to the old-standing and historic ties between the two nations, the Iraqi minister said the new system in Iraq seeks consolidation of relations with Iran. He also said that Iran and Iraq could expand ties in different areas including optic fibers.
