
Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian charged Israel on Wednesday with plotting the twin explosions that targeted the Iranian Embassy in Beirut on Tuesday, Russia Today channel reported. In an exclusive statement to the channel, Abdollahian said there is no doubt that the terror attack against the Iranian embassy in Beirut was plotted by Israel, accusing it of hiring some extremist groups to carry out this act. The Iranian diplomat stressed this terror act will not affect Teheran's determination to go on with protecting the axis of resistance. The cultural counselor of the Embassy was killed in the explosions, Abdollahian reaffirmed. On Tuesday, 23 persons were killed and about 150 injured in the twin explosions near the Iranian embassy in Beirut.
