Iran to probe death of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia

The Iranian Foreign Ministry plans to send a fact-finding delegation to Saudi Arabia in a bid to probe the deaths of two Iranian pilgrims killed in an accident in Jeddah, senior parliament officials announced on Saturday.Two Iranian pilgrims were killed and four others injured on Thursday after a service truck crashed into a passenger lounge of Jeddah International Airport in Saudi Arabia.\"The Saudi government is necessitated to provide security of the Iranian pilgrims since the time they enter the Arab country and should be accountable in this regard,\" head of the parliament\'s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Friday.Also, rapporteur of the same parliament commission told FNA on Saturday that \"a fact-finding commission comprised of officials from the Iranian foreign ministry and a member of the parliament\'s National Security Commission will be sent to Jeddah to probe the incident\".Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini also underlined that his commission would pursue the case until the rights of the Iranian pilgrims killed in the incident are restored.Two of the wounded Iranian pilgrims were treated on the spot and were flown back to Iran, but the other two were hospitalized.
