Tehran\'s Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Mohammad Reza Fayyaz and UAE\'s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs Abdul Rahman Yusuf conferred on different ways of expanding the two countries\' cooperation, specially in legal fields. During the meeting in Abu Dhabi, the Iranian diplomat pointed to the meetings of the two countries\' joint consulate committee and coastal guards, and elaborated on the agreements made in those meetings. The Iranian diplomat further said that the two sides\' close stance and views on human rights as good ground for joint efforts at the international bodies and organizations, the UN in particular. He also lambasted the West\'s double-standard policies towards the issue of human rights. The Emirati official, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the results achieved during the last week meetings. He, too, described the West\'s dealing with the issue of human rights as politically tainted, and laid emphasis on the two countries\' cooperation over the issue. The Iran-UAE joint Consular Committee held a sixth meeting in Tehran last week in a bid to discuss prospects of consular and visa cooperation and explore ways of facilitating reciprocal visits by the two countries\' nationals. Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriates\' Affairs Hassan Qashqavi headed the Iranian side, while the UAE delegation was presided by UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Tarek Ahmad Al Heidan. UAE Ambassador to Tehran Saif Mohammad Obaid Al Za\'abi and representatives from various departments and Ministries from both countries were also present at the meeting.
