Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari said on Monday that the US recent report on Iran is 'politicized' and 'invalid' due to lack of the most obvious facts, according to IRNA News Agency.
Speaking to reporters at his weekly press briefing, Ansari made the remarks in a response to the US claims on branding Iran as a sponsor of terrorism.
"Iran is the victim of terrorism,'' he said, adding that the world recognizes Iran as forerunner in the fight against terrorism.
In its annual report published recently, the US State Department accused Iran of being a state sponsor of terrorism.
