Iran\'s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said no obstacles can prevent the expansion of relations with Burundi, the local satellite Press TV reported on Monday. The growth of ties between Iran and Burundi in a variety of domains can prepare the ground for the two nations\' progress, said Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Burundian Foreign Minister Augustin Nsanze in Iran\'s capital of Tehran on Sunday. Ahmadinejad expressed his appreciation of Burundi\'s support for Iran and stated that both sides have the potential to make major strides in meeting the interests of Iranian and Burundian people and other nations, said the report. Nsanze, for his part, said his country believes that the world is changing and certain countries including Iran which enjoy great capabilities would play an effective role in the future of the world. His country will support the rights of the Iranian nation in the international arena, Nsanze was quoted as saying. According to the report, the Burundian minister arrived in Tehran on Saturday to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials.
