Iraq urges Libya to protect nationals after killing of Iraqi professor

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry called Thursday on Libya to protect Iraqi nationals particularly after gunmen killed Dr. Hamid Khalaf Hasan in Darna city. The Ministry strongly condemned in a statement terrorist act, and affirmed that such acts are not indicative of the position of the Libyan government and people towards Iraq. It noted that the terrorist attack will not affect ties between the two countries. The Ministry also called on the Libyan government speed up the efforts to arrest the culprits of the crime
