Iraqi FM, EU official discuss development programmes in Iraq

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari discussed with EU Commissioner for Development Andris Piebalgs development programs in Iraq.The meeting took place at the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels.A statement quoted by Iraqi NINA news agency said that “the talks focused, particularly on the aid provided by the EU in this area and the national development plan for 2013 – 2017 and in particular in the field of education and reform of the services sector and provide sustainable energy”. Zebari praised the role played by the EU in supporting Iraq and its assistance to the development plans.
