Several explosions that took place across Iraq earlier Saturday led to the death of two people and injury of 28 others, Iraqi Ministry of Interior said Sunday. The ministry said in a statement released to the press on Sunday that the security presence helped limit the damage by forcing terrorists to detonate the car bombs by the side of the roads. The two people killed included one police officer. Some 15 of the 28 people injured have already left the hospital in good condition. Other anonymous police sources had earlier said that no less than 50 people were killed and a 100 more were injured as a result of yesterday’s explosions.
