
Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki reiterated on Sunday his call to reach a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis, warning against spread of sectarianism in the region. \"Sectarianism is not less dangerous than use of chemical weapons,\" Al-Maliki said, during his meeting with Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif at his office, affirming his call to find a peaceful solution for the Syrian conflict as it became more complicated due to what he called as foreign interferences. Also, the Iraqi Premier called for further cooperation to face several challenges which the region is undergoing such as waves of extremism, terrorism, and sectarian incitement, pointing out that finding a peaceful solution for the crisis in Syria would be in the interest of all sides. For his part, Zarif affirmed Iran\'s desire in strengthen cooperation and friendship ties with Iraq in all fields, which was the Iranian foreign policy\'s objective.
