Iraqi VP meets UN representative

Iraqi Vice President Kudair al-Kozai discussed with the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Martin Kobler the overall political situation in Iraq and the region and ways to achieve political reforms in the country, National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) reported. Iraqi Vice President confirmed during the meeting with Kobler at his office on Monday the necessity of the United Nations\' effective participation in supporting the democracy in Iraq, According to the Information Office of al-Kozai. He also called to \"adopt the political and peaceful solutions to contain the crisis in Syria and the necessity of keeping religious sanctities and keep them away from the insurgency.\" For his part, Kobler expressed UN\'s readiness to contribute actively in supporting Iraq.
