The International Red Cross (IRC) declared the situation in various parts of Syria still hazardous and ambiguous as war rages on between combatants in Aleppo, Damascus and Homs, etc. The IRC had issued a statement recently in which it affirmed its continuation with the provision of assistance to the displaced people and victims of battles in Damascus and other parts of the worn-torn country. The IRC pointed out that water has been restored to Aleppo and repairs made to 10 schools to which 2000 displaced Syrians had taken refuge. In the countryside, technicians were reportedly striving to restore the supply of potable water to schools where displaced refugees can be accommodated. The IRC statement added that more than 2300 food parcels were delivered to the displaced in Homs. In Damascus, 5000 food parcels were distributed to 25,000 people throughout the whole month.
