
Minister of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Issa Qaraqe, said that due to the efforts of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Israel allowed the liberated prisoner Naem Shawamreh to travel to Jordan for treatment. Shawamreh suffers from Muscular Dystrophy (MD).Qaraqe added that after long hours of discussions with the Israeli side, the Ministry of Prisoners' Affairs and the Palestinian Civil Affairs Committee, Israel finally agreed to allow Shawamreh to travel to Jordan.Qaraqe said that the Israeli government is stalling to allow sick released prisoner Shawamreh to travel and it's a crime against humanity, stressing that the delaying of his treatment will increase in the deterioration of his health condition.Qaraqe bares Israel full responsibility for this crime that aims at killing the prisoner Naem and deprive him from his right to obtain treatment.
