Israel closes Al-Aqsa mosque fearing confrontations with Palestinians

Israeli occupation forces closed al-Aqsa mosque, intensified its security procedures and prevented Palestinian worshipers from entering to the mosque on fears of expected confrontations between Palestinian worshipers and Jewish who came to pray in the mosque. Israeli police said that the closure of al-Aqsa mosque is because on Thursday, they arrested a Palestinian on claims he had a knife and because confrontations would launch between Palestinian worshipers and Jewish settlers. The Jewish religious groups intensified their presence to break into the mosque and perform their religious rituals in the last days of the Jewish holidays.
