Israel reopens entrance to town near Jerusalem

Israeli forces reopened the entrance to a town northeast of Jerusalem after intervention from the Palestinian Authority, officials said Thursday. The entrance to al-Ram was closed off last week after Israel's army said Palestinians threw rocks at military vehicles. An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed the decision. She said the decision was taken to remove the barrier following consultations between Israeli security forces and their Palestinian counterparts and after reviewing the security situation in the area.
