Beirut - Fars

Six Israeli warplanes violated Lebanon\'s airspace as Lebanese officials and people were commemorating the 68th year of their country\'s independence on Tuesday.According to a report by al-Manar news website, four Israeli warplanes entered the Lebanese air airspace over Naqourah, South of Lebanon, at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday morning and left the area at 11:10 a.m. after a one-hour flight. Meantime, a statement released by the Lebanese Army said that two other aircraft penetrated the county\'s airspace over Ramish area at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, and patrolled over the Lebanese airspace for one hour and left the country at 11:20. Israel violates Lebanon\'s airspace on an almost daily basis and in violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 1701. UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which brokered a ceasefire in the war Israel launched against Lebanon in 2006, calls on Tel Aviv to respect Beirut\'s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The violations came as Lebanon was commemorating the 68th anniversary of its independence. President Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn and Lebanese Army commander General Jean Kahwagi all attended the 50-minute Independence Day military parades at Shafiq Wazzan Avenue in Downtown Beirut Tuesday morning.
