Israel works to hebrewize east Quds

President of Palestinian State in Gaza Mahmood Abbas has called on Arab-Muslim countries to put pressure on the UN and other international organizations for prevention of Israel\'s destruction efforts in East Jerusalem. \"Israel works actively and systematically to hebrewize East Quds, detach the Palestinians from there, and to attack Masjid al Aqsa and the holy places of Islam and Christianity,\" said Abbas, speaking at the 24th Arab League Summit in Qatar\'s capital Doha. Abbas, conveying his gratitude to Amir of Qatar Hamad bin Halifa al Sani\'s offer about organizing a \"Mini Arab Summit\" in Cairo, Egypt with an objective of reconciling Hamas and al Fatah\'s actions, as well as making up a fund to support Jerusalem, expressed his hope that the Arab states would unite efforts for the release of the Palestinian prisoners in Israel. -\'\'We will prevent Israel\'s plans to hebrewization of Masjid al Aqsa\'\'- Jordan\'s King Abdallah II also mentioned his country\'s will to obstruct Israeli plans of hebrewizing Masjid al Aqsa. \"International community must work for building confidence, revitalizing the peace process and healing all other issues between Palestinians and Israelis until a Palestinian state within 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital will be established,\" said Abdallah. Abdallah, calling on the international community to put pressure on Israel to cease its settlement policy in West Bank, also said \"Jordan will keep on its historical and religious role of protecting Jerusalem and its holiness, detecting its Arab population, supporting its resistance, transporting aid and standing against all Israeli plans by Palestinians\' side.\"   Touching upon the Syria issue, Abdallah said that a comprehensive political solution had to be found in a way to guarantee Syria\'s territorial and public integrity. -\'\'We oppose foreign intervention in Syria\'\'- Syria crisis is also another topic of the Summit. Prime Minister of Algeria Abdal Malek Sallal said that they were against foreign intervention in Syria and the conditions of the Arab League had to be obeyed while Prime Minister of Libya Ali Zaydan emphasized on their demand from the neighboring states about extradition of former President Gadhafi\'s soldiers for their trial. -\'\'We pursue a \'self-saving\' policy on Syria issue\'\'-   President of Lebanon Michel Sleiman said, \"We pursue a \'self-saving\' policy on Syria issue.\" Explaining the Lebanese\' concerns regarding the violence in Syria, Sleiman said that they refrained from taking any exclusive decision regarding the issue in order to avoid its effects while they sought to share the burden of Syrian refugees with all Arab states based on joint responsibility.
